Sacred Realms Workshop One Melbourne

This 5 day non-residential explored grizalle underpainting in egg-tempera, demonstrating how to make egg-tempera paint, making global and local glazes in oils, and painting skin tones, jewels and plants. Importance of thinking in terms of the dynamics of light was emphasized. There was a range of experience, for a number of artists it was the first time they had picked up a brush. Within this short time participants gained an understanding of these principles which will empower further self-directed study.
