Daniel Mirante has been wandering the wilderness of the imagination for 34 years. He is fascinated with the exploration of mysticism, deep ecology, mythology, and creativity. His art and writing have appeared worldwide in a variety of publications, websites, exhibitions and calendars.

His activity encompasses several interconnecting spheres, from a personal art/alchemy practice outward to the community through personal teaching and tuition and into the global sphere through numerous internet creations.

A Brief Artistic Chronology

Education – Ba (hons) Fine Art, Manchester Metropolitan University. Diploma in Sustainable Community Development with University of Middlesex and the Centre for Alternative Technology.

2000 – initiated www.lila.info to assist the global unfolding of a collective rebirth of sacred and mystical art. The site remains a vital resource on the cutting edge of contemporary visionary art.

2004 – training in the mische (mixed) technique of oil glazes and egg tempera with Brigid Marlin.

2006 – exhibited works at the inaugural Visionary Art Alliance exhibition at the Synergy Centre in London and began directorship of www.ayahuasca.com
2006 -2009 – collaborated extensively with the Elfintome Arts Collective, Podcollective, and Lightscience.

2009 co-initiated a collaborative studio and exhibition space, Zu Studios, in Brighton, UK, to support the unfolding of emerging visionary artists and to strengthen the visionary art current within Europe. Zu Studio’s subsequently hosted residencies with Luke Brown, Andrew Jones, and Jarah Tree.
2009 – interviewed on Singing To the Plants and featured on the sites Beinart, Lunaya Shekina’s Lightscience, Bia Labate (shamanism researcher) and L.E Pomar (visionary art web aggregator) and Kuba Fiedorowicz’ Plemora.
2009 – works were exhibited on the Interdimensional Art Show tour of the west coast.
2009 – Artwork published in two different versions of the Mayan Calender/Wavespell
2009 – Artwork in lengthy feature in Laurence Caruana’s Visionary Revue
2009 – archival reproductions of artworks propagated outward to temples, churches and schools of spiritual development.
2009 – Took on directorship and full ownership of Ayahuasca.com

2010 – Artwork included as part of the Galactic Trading Card Oracle Complex
2010 – a proud participant in the emergence of the Temple of Visions gallery, L.A.
2010 – participated in the 3rd Annual Visions in the Misch Technique seminar, in the eco-village Torre Superiore, Italy, conducting interviews and exchanging skills with visionary artists such as Laurence Caruana and Andrew Gonzalez.
2010 – Artwork exhibited at BOOM
2010 – Vienna Exhibition ‘Stream of Time’ Vienna Galerie10 – with Amanda Sage, David Heskin, Leo Plaw, Adam Scott Miller and Dennis Konstantin. Galerie10 is historically important as the European home of Fantastic Realism.
2010 – Double page feature bio/painting expose in Alex Grey’s annual COSM magazine

2011 – Invited as a partner of the Art Spirit Now Polymathnetwork.
2011 – Collaborative studio practice with the Australian artist Katia Honour in Ubud, Bali.

2011 – Official inauguration of the Guild of Iluvatar – a co-creative space of artistic and poetic development, working alongside a small group of focussed artists

2011 – Work printed huge for Canadian dubstep festival : Motion Notion Music Festival, running for 12 years near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. www.motionnotion.com
